It is a long drive from San Diego, California to St. George, Utah. For reasons I cannot remember (likely: hunger) we stopped in Victorville and stumbled over Goodys Family Restaurant. Alex had a homemade ice-tea (real tea with ice and no sugar) and a burger with coleslaw, I had a meat sandwich and coffee. Goody, we are impressed with your place! So impressed in fact, that I just registered with yelp.com and gave you a glowing review.
10 days on the continent and no burgers yet. A scandal. We fixed this problem at the only place to fix a problem like this: the In n' Out Burger. Alex ordered "Double Double animal style". This meat-mantra must be memorised because it is a secret order that you cannot find on the menu. Exciting. And Yummy!
Via San Felipe and Mexicali back to San Diego. Will the U.S. border patrol treat us like no Germans ever travelled Baja and tried to enter California? You bet!
And this is what Alex got from Gabriel at the llantera for getting our tire fixed: one portion of homemade ensalada de mariscos for him and another one to take to his girlfriend at the beach. Would you like to know how it tasted? It tasted lovely!

We are daredevils! Today we will leave the highway...
...and we'll drive 2,5 hours on this dirt road. It leads to paradise! (Or so we've been told)
